Big Weather: A Simple, Easy-to-Read Weather Tool

There are already plenty of weather websites out there.

But a lot of them have the same problem: you just want to know if it’s going to rain or how cold it will be, and you end up looking through maps, charts, ads, news, and a bunch of numbers you probably don’t need.

The simple stuff gets buried.

That’s why I made Big Weather.

It’s not meant to be a professional weather dashboard. It’s just a simple page that gives you the weather information most people actually care about.

Enter a U.S. ZIP Code or city name, and you can quickly check today’s and tomorrow’s weather.

You’ll see the current temperature, the high and low, chance of rain, wind speed, and a simple look at how the temperature will change over the next few hours.

If there’s an important weather alert in your area, Big Weather also shows official alerts from the National Weather Service.

I also made the text bigger on purpose.

Weather should be easy to read at a glance. You shouldn’t have to zoom in or search around the page just to find the temperature.

It works well on a phone, but it’s also useful on a desktop or for anyone who simply prefers a cleaner, easier-to-read weather page.

Big Weather doesn’t have ads.

If you search by city or ZIP Code, it doesn’t need your GPS location. Your browser will only ask for location access if you choose Use my location.

Your last location can also be saved in your browser, so you don’t have to type it again every time you come back.

That’s the kind of tool I want to build with HandyPebble.

Not something with the most features.

Just something simple, useful, and easy to understand.
