Building closed contours…

Two files, one shared size

PNG contains the actual border without the pink cut line. SVG contains only closed cut paths. Keep both at the listed page size. Save as PDF is also available in the print dialog.

Check the shape, not just the preview

Choose a transparent PNG, set the artwork width and border, then inspect the outer edge and any holes. Keep print artwork and cut contours separate. The page includes transparent padding so edge pixels are not clipped.

Can I use an SVG?

Import plain closed paths or basic shapes with transforms already applied. Scripts, external resources, text, images and styles are rejected. SVG contours become a solid silhouette, not a full-color artwork import. Combined outlines use even-odd holes. The measured shape is fitted proportionally to the artwork width you choose.

What happens to fine detail?

Contours use a bounded sampling grid, shown below the preview. Low-opacity pixels follow your alpha threshold. Minimum-area filtering reports omitted separate parts, and you must review them before exporting. Simplification and corner softening change the edge; neither is a guarantee that fine material will cut well.

Are these ready for my cutting machine?

The SVG contains closed vector geometry, not machine commands, blade compensation or registration marks. Confirm physical size in your cutter software, check each hole and make a material test. No cutter, supplier or Print Then Cut compatibility is certified.

Are my images stored?

Images stay in memory. Local drafts contain settings and references, not PNG bytes. Save a private project ZIP for a complete backup. PNG inputs are limited to 25 MB and 24 megapixels; SVG contours to 500 KB. Output is limited to the browser’s safe raster budget.
