Words to get you started

This replaces only the selected message. You can edit it or undo the change.

Style each text area

Use dark text on pale areas and light text on dark areas. Effects are optional. Long text fits down automatically; shorten it if the editor warns that it does not fit.

Start with the words below. Each text area has its own font, spacing, color, and position controls under Style each text area.

Quick front styling

Long greetings fit down automatically. Shorten the wording if it still does not fit.

Card size & printing

No bleed is safest for home printing. Bleed extends the background only. Some printers cannot print all crop marks.

PNG, JPG, and Card PDF save the front. The paper-size PDF includes both sides when Folded card is selected. Print at 100% or Actual size; turn off Fit to page. Test on plain paper first. Duplex flip settings vary by printer.

Save & reset

Saves words, design, and settings on this device. Photos stay in this tab only; choose them again after reopening.

How to make your card

  1. Choose a design. The preview shows the actual artwork and editable words.
  2. Write your front greeting and a short message, or choose suggested wording. Add names or a small caption if you want.
  3. Open Inside & back for a longer personal note. Review Front, Inside, and Back before downloading.
  4. Choose a finished card size and printer paper. Download a front PNG or exact-size PDF, or choose the paper-size PDF for a flat or folded card.

What to write

Mention a shared memory, a quality you appreciate, or an ordinary moment your friend made better. No special occasion is needed. A specific, sincere sentence often means more than a long message.

Print a clean, true-size card

Choose U.S. Letter or A4 and print at Actual size or 100%, with browser headers and footers off. Test on plain paper before using card stock. Folded 5 × 7 and U.S. A2 cards include two sheets: outside, then inside. Test your printer’s duplex flip direction, trim, and fold at the guide. The 4 × 6 format is flat only.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change all the words?

Yes. Front greeting, short message, inside note, names, date, small caption, and back note are separate editable text. The illustrations contain no fixed lettering.

Can I adjust the typography?

Open Style each text area. Choose an area, then change its font, size, weight, color, alignment, line spacing, letter spacing, opacity, or position. Shadow, glow, outline, and a soft panel are optional. Restore this text style resets only the selected area. Restore layout resets the current design’s styles.

What if my words do not fit?

Text wraps and fits down within its own area. If it still overflows, downloading is blocked with a message. Shorten the front or put the longer note inside. Check the preview after moving or resizing text.

Which file should I download?

PNG and JPG contain the front at 300 output pixels per inch. Card PDF contains a true-size front. The Letter or A4 PDF places the flat card or both folded-card sheets on the paper you selected. The Print button opens your browser’s print dialog.

Can I use my own photo?

These designs use original artwork, not photo slots. You can personalize their words, colors, and typography. Other tools in All greeting cards offer photo designs.

Can I save a card for later?

Save a local draft keeps the current design, words, and per-design text styles on this device. Reopening this tool restores the saved draft. Clearing browser data can remove it. Start over clears current work only; Delete saved draft asks before removing the stored copy.

Are my words uploaded?

No. Editing and downloads happen in your browser. Artwork and self-hosted fonts are downloaded from HandyPebble. Opening the website still makes normal website requests.

Is the artwork suitable for printing?

The download renders text at 300 pixels per inch. Original painted artwork is about 200–220 source pixels per inch at 5 × 7 inches; increasing the output size does not add original detail. Files use sRGB, not certified CMYK press output. Optional ⅛-inch bleed and crop marks are available; ask your print shop which file it needs.
