Compare your supplier template

KDP case laminate requires a current template image and matching measurements. A dust-jacket template is not suitable. Confirm all fold positions, safe areas and the barcode reservation, not only the outer size.

Production files contain one full cover without guides, selection boxes or template overlays. RGB output is not CMYK or PDF/X certified. Confirm with your printer and order a physical proof. Save as PDF is available in the print dialog.

A case wrap is not a paperback cover.

The full file includes two flat board panels, two flexible hinges, a measured spine, and material that turns around the outside edges. Keep important text off the fold areas. The finished file is one continuous cover, not a dust jacket.

Where do the measurements come from?

Use the current template for your exact binding, trim, paper and page count. The examples here are custom measurements, not universal factory dimensions. KDP geometry must be entered from its current template and compared before downloading. Read the official hardcover cover guidance.

What is included in the download?

The cover PDF contains one full-size, opaque RGB image at 300 PPI. The PNG has the same artwork pixels. Guides, overlays, selections and the fold diagram are excluded. The separate size check is for review, not production. No CMYK, PDF/X or supplier acceptance is guaranteed.

Can I keep editing later?

Text and dimensions save locally on this device. Photos stay in this browser session; Save project downloads a private backup with originals. Open project restores them. Missing photos block finished downloads. Start over asks before clearing this tool’s local draft.
