Tool 10 · Check the pockets

Keep the photo.
Lose the baggage.

The inspection happens on this device.

HandyPebble cannot see the image, the metadata, or the cleaned download.

Drop in a photo before you share it

JPG, PNG, or WebP · One image · 30 MB max

Nothing is uploaded—not even for the metadata check.
Worth knowing

Metadata is not the whole privacy story.

Location can be exact

Some photos contain GPS coordinates. The tool calls those out when common EXIF GPS fields are readable.

Pixels can still talk

A street sign, face, screen, or reflection may reveal more than metadata ever could.

Clean means a new copy

The download is rebuilt from visible pixels so original EXIF, XMP, comments, and other container blocks are not carried over.

Straight answers

Metadata questions.

What metadata can this show?

It checks common EXIF camera, software, date, orientation, and GPS fields, plus common XMP, ICC, comment, and text blocks.

Will the clean copy look identical?

PNG is exported losslessly. JPG and WebP are re-encoded at the selected quality, so tiny compression differences are possible.

Does the tool upload my location?

No. The parser and clean export run locally inside your browser.

Can metadata removal guarantee anonymity?

No. It removes hidden file information, but the visible image itself can still identify a person, place, account, or device.
