Zooming crops farther into the original, so a very small source image can look softer. The tool never stretches a photo out of shape.
Choose PNG for lossless text and edges. Choose JPEG when a smaller, widely compatible photo file matters more; the quality slider controls the tradeoff.
It changes the real pixel dimensions of the final file. Use 50% for a lighter shareable image, 100% for the standard size, or up to 150% for more pixels.
