Two limits, not one slogan

The income-ratio limit multiplies gross monthly income by the percentage you choose. The cash-flow limit subtracts debts, housing extras, living expenses, and savings from take-home income. The calculator uses the lower result.

Why move-in cash is separate

A rental can fit the monthly budget and still require substantial cash for the first month, deposit, fees, utility setup, and moving.

What this cannot decide

Only you can decide what feels comfortable. Landlords may use different screening methods, and local deposit or fee rules vary. This is a personal planning estimate, not rental approval, financial advice, or a statement of legal limits.
