Preparing the example…
SVG uses full-size polygon paths. PDF is a scaled check, not a cutting template. Save as PDF is also available in the print dialog. Verify size and make a small test cut.
Repair the path, not just its appearance.
Open an SVG, select the contour you want to adjust, and move its points. The checks update with each edit. Open paths and crossing edges remain editable, but a cutting SVG is available only after the geometry issues are resolved.
Can I edit an open or crossed path?
Yes. Close an open contour with the checkbox, or move and remove points to fix crossings. Fix all directions gives outer edges and holes consistent directions based on nesting. The check PDF lists unresolved issues without pretending the design is ready to cut.
What changes when I import a curved SVG?
Curves become closely spaced editable polygon points. This is an approximation, not exact curve preservation. Strokes are treated as centerlines; fill colors and stroke widths are not design content here. Use a plain SVG under 500 KB with declared width, height and a matching viewBox. Up to 100 contours, 2,000 points per contour and 6,000 points total are supported. Pixel sizes use 96 pixels per inch. Apply transforms and remove external resources first.
Can I get my original back?
Restore original paths returns to the imported, sampled geometry; Undo can restore the edit you just replaced. Save project keeps both versions in a portable backup. Your draft stays on this device. Start over clears only this tool’s draft after confirmation.
