I Made the Freelancer Profitability Analyzer More Realistic

I recently made a few practical improvements to the Freelancer Profitability Analyzer.
The original version already looked beyond the project price. It counted working time, client communication, revisions, taxes, software, and customer acquisition costs. But real freelance projects often include a few more expenses that are easy to overlook.
The calculator now includes:
- Buffer hours for unexpected work
- Other direct project costs
- Platform and payment processing fees
- A clearer breakdown of taxes, fees, fixed costs, and net income
- A more accurate recommended minimum quote
The new buffer-hours field is useful for projects that may need extra calls, small fixes, file preparation, or last-minute changes. If you do not need a buffer, you can simply leave it at zero.
The platform-fee field helps freelancers account for marketplace fees, payment processing charges, or any other percentage taken from the project price. These fees now affect both your real hourly income and the minimum price you should quote.
I also added a place for other direct costs, such as subcontractor work, stock assets, travel, printing, or project-specific supplies. Again, entering zero is completely fine when a cost does not apply.
The most important improvement is the minimum quote calculation. It now works backward from your target hourly rate while accounting for your total time, fixed costs, estimated taxes, and percentage-based fees.
That means the result is not just a simple revenue estimate. It gives you a better answer to the question that actually matters:
What do I need to charge for this project to be worth my time?
All calculations still happen locally in the browser. There is no account, database, upload, or AI involved, and the project numbers you enter are not sent to HandyPebble.
You can also print a clean project summary or save it as a PDF for your own records.
The goal is still the same: keep the tool simple to use, but make the calculation underneath it serious enough to support a real business decision.
