I Got Tired of Resizing the Same Image

Sometimes the annoying part isn’t making the image. It’s everything that comes after.

You finish one version, then Instagram needs a different shape. Stories need another. YouTube wants something wider. Facebook has its own size too.

It’s the same picture over and over, just with different crops.

That’s the reason I made Social Image Maker.

You drop in an image, pick the social media formats you want, and make each version right there in your browser.

For every size, you can move the image, zoom it in or out, and get the crop looking the way you want.

There’s also a safe area guide.

I added that because sometimes the important part of an image ends up underneath a button, profile picture, or another bit of interface added by the social app. If you have a face, some text, or a logo you want to keep visible, the guide gives you a better idea of where to place it.

It’s only a guide while you’re working. It won’t appear in the finished download.

Each size can be adjusted on its own, too.

That matters because a crop that works nicely as an Instagram post may not work at all for a wide YouTube image. You can change the position and zoom for one format without messing up the others.

Once you’re happy with everything, you can download a single image or download several sizes together.

All the image processing happens in your browser. There’s no account to create, and you don’t have to connect Instagram, Facebook, or any other social account.

Open the page, add your image, make a few adjustments, and download it.

Nothing complicated.

It’s just a small tool for taking one repetitive job and making it a little less annoying.
