How to use Photo Color Changer

  1. Pick the existing color. Choose Pick color, then click or tap the photo. You can also set the source color with the color picker. The sample starts with the flower’s pink petals selected.
  2. Choose the replacement. Set New color. Hue and Saturation refine it; Brightness adjusts the selected area. Original lightness stays in the result, so folds, surface details, and shadows remain visible.
  3. Refine the area. Use Hue range and Color tolerance to include nearby colors. Paint adds an area regardless of its color, and Erase protects it. Selection shows a blue overlay; it is not part of your download.
  4. Review and download. Compare with the original at a larger zoom. Undo and Redo recover recent edits. Download a PNG or JPG copy.

Frequently asked questions

Can I recolor only one object?

Yes, with manual refinement. Color selection can include matching colors anywhere in the photo. Paint and Erase let you refine the affected area; this is not automatic object recognition.

Will black or white become a vivid color?

Pure black and white have no color detail to preserve. Brightness can help, but a midtone surface with visible texture produces a more natural result.

How do I smooth a rough selection?

Increase Selection feather slightly and use a softer brush. Excessive feathering can spill into nearby areas; compare at a larger zoom.

Where are my photos processed?

On this device, inside your browser. Photos are not uploaded, and no account is required. Opening the website still makes ordinary page and asset requests.

Will my original files change?

No. Downloads are new copies. Photos, masks, and adjustments stay in this page session only; download your work before closing it.

Which images can I open?

JPG, PNG, and WebP, up to 15 MB and 16 megapixels per photo, with no side over 10,000 pixels. HEIC, RAW files, and animated images are not supported.

Does the download keep its resolution?

Yes. PNG and JPG downloads keep the oriented source width and height. PNG keeps transparency; JPG places transparency on white. Downloads are newly encoded pixels, not copies of the original metadata.

Can I undo an adjustment?

Undo and Redo keep the last 30 changes for each photo while this page stays open. Reset adjustments returns to the selected starting look. Selections and photos are not saved after you close the page.
