STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Before you place the signature.

Is my signature uploaded or saved?

No. Drawing, typing, trimming, and export happen locally in your browser. The signature is kept only in the current tab and is not stored when you close it.

Why should I download a transparent PNG?

A transparent PNG has no white rectangle behind the ink, so it sits cleanly on documents with white or colored backgrounds.

Can I add the image to Word or a PDF?

Yes. Download the PNG, then use the document application's normal Insert Image or Add Image control. Keep the original file somewhere private if you plan to reuse it.

Is this the same as a verified digital signature?

No. It creates an image of a signature. It does not verify identity, record consent, create a certificate, or determine whether a particular recipient or document will accept it.

Does it work on phones and computers?

Yes. The complete workflow is available on both. Phones accept finger and stylus input; computers accept a mouse, trackpad, touchscreen, or compatible pen.

Clear this signature?

Every stroke on the current drawing will be removed. You cannot undo this clear action.
