From photos to a finished collage
Image Collage is a free online photo collage tool for family memories, travel stories, product photos, classroom projects, and before-and-after comparisons. Add your pictures and get a complete layout immediately. The editor considers their shapes to suggest a balanced starting point.
Choose 2–12 JPG, PNG, or WebP files, drop them onto the workspace, or paste an image from your clipboard. Your original files stay unchanged.
Try a visual layout or use Shuffle layout. Drag a photo’s Swap handle onto another frame to exchange them. Drag inside a photo to adjust its crop; on a phone, tap Adjust crop first.
Choose JPG for photographs or PNG for lossless output. Standard, high-resolution, custom-width, and print-size options show the exact pixel dimensions before you download.
Balanced grids, larger lead photos, editorial arrangements, strips, mosaics, stories, and contact sheets adapt to your photo count. Every frame contains a photo. Auto layout preserves your order and favors shapes that need less cropping; it does not recognize faces or subjects.
Fill covers the frame; Fit shows the whole photo against your chosen background. Set the gap and outer margin separately, choose a restrained frame style, or add a short title above or below the pictures. Undo brings back a layout, crop, swap, or removed photo while the tab stays open.
Reading, arranging, and exporting happen locally in your browser. There is no photo upload, account, or watermark. Only reusable canvas and frame preferences are remembered. Closing or refreshing this page clears your photos and edits. Website visits can still generate ordinary server and analytics traffic; see our privacy policy.
A few useful details
On a computer, drag the Swap handle on one photo onto another. On a phone, select a photo, tap Swap, then tap the other photo. Crops travel with their photos. Use Undo to reverse the exchange.
Yes. Select the photo and choose Fit in its settings. The whole image appears with background around it when its shape differs from the frame. Fill covers the frame and lets you zoom and adjust the crop.
Yes. Export offers 4 × 6 in, 5 × 7 in, US Letter, and A4 presets in portrait or landscape. Apply the chosen paper shape to see the exact composition first. Pixel sizes target about 300 pixels per inch: a portrait 4 × 6 image is 1,200 × 1,800 px, and Letter is 2,550 × 3,300 px. A4 is 2,480 × 3,508 px. Resolution metadata may differ, so choose the intended paper size when printing. Small originals can still look soft when enlarged.
High-quality JPG is a practical choice for photographs and smaller files. PNG preserves sharp edges and avoids JPEG compression. Both include your chosen background; transparent areas of source images show that background. Neither format includes editing handles or a watermark.
Only your canvas shape and frame preferences are remembered. Photos, titles, order, and crops stay in the open tab and disappear when you refresh or close it. Download the finished collage before leaving. Reset saved settings clears the remembered preferences without removing your current photos.
The editor accepts up to 12 photos and limits individual files to 35 MB. It checks image dimensions and memory estimates before decoding or exporting. Exports are limited to 24 million pixels and an 8,192 px longest side, with a lower practical limit on some devices. If an image is too large, use a smaller copy or choose a smaller output size.
Copy Image is available when your browser supports writing PNG images to the clipboard in a secure context. Browser permissions may still prevent copying. Download remains an alternative.
The Photos, Layouts, Adjust, and Export controls open from the bottom bar. Tap a photo to select it, use Swap to exchange positions, or enable Adjust crop before dragging inside it. A zoom slider provides precise control without requiring a pinch gesture.
