How it works
Open. Choose. Send. Done.
- 1Open this page on both computers connected to the same local network.
- 2Choose the other computer when it appears.
- 3Drop in one file or several, then select Send files.
- 4Accept the transfer on the receiving computer and keep both pages open.
HandyPebble uses a small signaling service only to help nearby browsers connect. The file itself is sent through the encrypted WebRTC connection and is not stored by HandyPebble.
Quick answers
Does this upload my files?
No. File bytes travel through the direct WebRTC connection between the two browsers.
Why do both computers need the same network?
Nearby discovery is limited to browsers that appear to share your network connection, and a transfer still cannot begin until the receiving computer accepts it. A home or office network is the simplest supported setup.
Can I send several files?
Yes. Choose multiple files and the tool sends them one at a time while showing overall progress.
What if the transfer stops?
Keep both pages open, confirm both computers are still online, and use Try again. Large files are split into smaller pieces so the browser never reads the entire file at once.
